CONSULTATIONS
At My Admissions Sherpa, we realize that each student moves through the admissions process in their own way. We meet students where they are, guide them forward, and focus on providing personal attention. Our menu of services offers a wide variety of choices but some students prefer to work one-on-one with their counselor at an hourly rate. This option is a great choice for students who want a few hours of support or choose to extend the hours of their existing contract for a larger package.
STRATEGY AND LIST DEVELOPMENT PACKAGE
Our team of expert advisors understands that finding the right college isn't just about prestige—it's about finding the perfect fit. With our personalized approach, we help you discover the colleges that align with your academic strengths, extracurricular interests, and personal values. This process involves a thorough transcript and extracurricular review, where we define your vision by identifying your wants and needs in a college and recognizing unique factors that matter to you. We then assist you in building a comprehensive college list that includes reach, target, and safety schools, setting achievable goals, and creating a timeline for your applications. Additionally, we strategize the best submission methods to optimize your chances, whether through Early Decision, Early Action, or Regular Decision.
ESSAY WRITING
PACKAGE
This package offers students support as they write one full admissions essay. Whether working on the Common Application essay or a Supplemental piece, essays are an incredible opportunity to showcase unique strengths and talents. We provide individualized support for each student as they select an essay topic and engage in prewriting. We coach each student through the writing process and read and provide feedback on up three drafts of one essay. This package offers 5 hours of service.

RESUME DEVELOPMENT
PACKAGE
While the Common Application provides students with the opportunity to list up to ten extracurricular activities, it offers limited room to describe each one. Some kids do AMAZING things outside of the classroom. A resume is a great way to showcase your accomplishments. If you have more than ten extracurriculars or feel that you cannot accurately convey what you do in each on the Common App, a resume can be a great addition to your application.

ONLINE ADMISSIONS COURSE
School Counselors are amazing educators (and we know this firsthand because Kate is a School Counselor), but, they don't often have the time to provide specific instructions when it comes to the college application process. That's why we created 7 mini-courses that are specifically designed for rising seniors and their parents. Our goal is always to make the admission process easy to navigate and less stressful. Each mini-course addresses a specific task. Together, all 7 courses cover every aspect of the college admissions process. You can enroll in one minicourse or purchase them all for a discount! Our goal is always to make this process as stress-free as it possibly can be while helping you get into your top choice schools.
ADMISSION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
We LOVE working with American students living abroad. Applying to college while living in another country presents its own unique set of challenges. Students living outside of the U.S. have an amazing advantage over domestic applicants. Typically, their breadth of life experience lends a broader scope to their application process. We are well versed in helping International students select colleges that will appreciate all that they have to offer and then crafting an application that will appeal to admissions counselors across the United States. Because we have extensive knowledge of colleges and universities in the U.S., we are also able help students identify specific schools that meet their list of wants and needs.
FINE PRINT
Except in rare circumstances, My Admissions Sherpa's Counselors are not available by phone or email after 9 pm, or on holidays. Most meetings take place via phone or internet. Occasional face to face meetings will take place in the evenings or on weekends at a mutually convenient location. Please note the number of hours that a counselor spends working on a student’s applications is limited by the agreed upon terms. In the event that a student and family would like to add additional hours, they will be billed hourly. Students are expected to complete assignments between meetings. My Admissions Sherpa's Counselors will guide, support, and assist students but will not write essays and resumes or fill out applications for students. It is strongly recommended that students apply to a healthy selection of 'safety schools'. My Admissions Sherpa cannot guarantee admission to any specific school.
