CONSULTATION
At My Admissions Sherpa, we realize that each student moves through the admissions process in their own way. We meet students where they are, guide them forward, and focus on providing personal attention. Our menu of services offers a wide variety of choices but some students prefer to work one-on-one with their counselor at an hourly rate. This option is a great choice for students who want a few hours of support or choose to extend the hours of their existing contract for a larger package.

ONLINE ADMISSIONS COURSE
Online learning communities provide the wonderful option of learning at your own pace wherever and whenever it is convenient. We have designed an online course that walks families through the entire search and admissions process. Guidance Counselors are amazing educators (and we know this firsthand because Kate is a Guidance Counselor), but they don't often have the time to provide specific and direct instruction when it comes to the college application process. That's why we created this online program. It breaks the process down into a series of modules that cover every scenario you might encounter. You can enroll in the program asynchronously or with additional support. Our goal is always to make this process as stress-free as it possibly can be while helping you get into your top choice schools.

ESSAY WRITING
PACKAGE
This package offers students support as they write one full admissions essay. Whether working on the Common Application essay or a Supplemental piece, essays are an incredible opportunity to showcase unique strengths and talents. We provide individualized support for each student as they select an essay topic and engage in prewriting. We coach each student through the writing process and read and provide feedback on up three drafts of one essay. This package offers 5 hours of service.

This package offers students up to 35 hours of individualized support for up to seven college applications. Services cater specifically to the personal needs of each student. Services can guide students through any or allof the following:

RESUME
DEVELOPMENT
PACKAGE
While the Common Application provides students with the opportunity to list up to ten extracurricular activities, it offers limited room to describe each one. Some kids do AMAZING things outside of the classroom. A resume is a great way to showcase your accomplishments. If you have more than ten extracurriculars or feel that you cannot accurately convey what you do in each on the Common App, a resume can be a great addition to your application.

KEEP CALM - COLLEGE
CHECKLIST PACKAGE
Once you have decided which schools to apply to, you still have to navigate the actual application process. With so many documents, deadlines and details, this process can be confusing and things often slip through the cracks. We can break this process down into smaller and more manageable steps, create a timeline, and provide a checklist for each school to ensure that everything is completed with so spare. We are happy to keep you organized as you move forward.
INTERVIEW
PREPARATION

While many schools have moved away from the interview process, some still want to get to know their applicants on a personal level. An admissions interview is a great opportunity to showcase strengths and communicate what a strong candidate you are. When we coach kids through interview preparation we cover everything from body language to content. We conduct mock interviews so that you can practice and feel confident on the big day.

ADMISSION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
We LOVE working with American students living abroad. Applying to college while living in another country presents its own unique set of challenges. Students living outside of the U.S. have an amazing advantage over domestic applicants. Typically, their breadth of life experience lends a broader scope to their application process. We are well versed in helping International students select colleges that will appreciate all that they have to offer and then crafting an application that will appeal to admissions counselors across the United States. Because we have extensive knowledge of colleges and universities in the U.S., we are also able help students identify specific schools that meet their list of wants and needs.
FINE PRINT
Except in rare circumstances, My Admissions Sherpa's Counselors are not available by phone or email after 9 pm, or on holidays. Most meetings take place via phone or internet. Occasional face to face meetings will take place in the evenings or on weekends at a mutually convenient location. Please note the number of hours that a counselor spends working on a student’s applications is limited by the agreed upon terms. In the event that a student and family would like to add additional hours, they will be billed hourly. Students are expected to complete assignments between meetings. My Admissions Sherpa's Counselors will guide, support, and assist students but will not write essays and resumes or fill out applications for students. It is strongly recommended that students apply to a healthy selection of 'safety schools'. My Admissions Sherpa cannot guarantee admission to any specific school.
